The Goodwood Book Swap

31st May 2023

In keeping with the Revive and Thrive ethos across the Goodwood Estate, we have repurposed two of our red telephone boxes at Goodwood Motor Circuit into a Book Swap. Goodwood staff donated a number of pre-loved books to get the initiative started, and it’s now open to members of the public.

Sam Medcraft, Goodwood Motor Circuit General Manager, said: “We have a number of the iconic red phone boxes at the Circuit that were sat empty, and we thought it would be a great idea to give them another use outside of the headline events. It’s a fantastic addition to the Circuit that really embraces our Revive and Thrive philosophy and brings like-minded people together, which is an important part of everything we do at Goodwood.”

If you're after something new and exciting to read, bring a book with you on your next visit and swap it for a new one. There is a varied range of categories from automotive to classics, and a number of brilliant children’s books. The Aerodrome and Motor Circuit Cafés are open daily for breakfast and lunch, and both offer the perfect space to get a cup of tea and enjoy a good book whilst Spitfires take off above and cars race around the track.

Goodwood Motor Circuit is open to visitors year-round, with the exception of our headline events and a number of ticketed events, you can see what is happening at the circuit by visiting our online diary: https://www.goodwood.com/motorsport/motor-circuit/motor-circuit-diary/

The Goodwood Book Swap is based opposite the Richmond Lawn close to the Earl's Court Building.
