Perhaps the category most fulfilled here at Classic Sunday is cars from the 1960s. A decade synonymous with coolness, there are just so many makes and models from that era on display, it’s getting us into the Revival spirit already.
From Jaguar to Aston Martin, Mini and so on, there are so many of these classic British cars here today looking splendid in the sun, joined by Austin Healey Sprites and Lotus Elans and Sevens.
Matching them for numbers however were the range of Fords to be seen from the middle of the decade, including a pretty pair of Cortina MK1s with green and white bodywork.
One of the most striking aspects when considering the range of cars together is how different they all look. The range of design throughout a single decade is fascinating, especially when comparing the long lines of the Mercedes-Benz 280s and 220s to the swooping forms of the Porsche 911, 1966 Abarth and Ferrari 365 GTC.
The 1960s stands out as a decade that had it all. We can’t wait to see what offerings Revival will bring!
