Though a strong argument can be made that the Italians are the kings of the Supercar – if this year’s Breakfast Club Supercar Sunday is anything to go by – the British passion for beauty, performance and excess has been heavily indulged by manufacturers in recent years.
Just look at the gallery above, featuring swathes of special edition high-performance Aston Martins in technicolour highlighted hues, be-winged and spitting sheer anger from their upgraded lungs.
Then you have the influx of magnificent modern McLaren machinery: the 570S and GT are clearly selling well, and owners are clearly still loving their 650s. Of course, the staple McLaren animals lead that pack, with a couple of stunning 675LTs, the daddy P1 and the monstrous(ly cool) P1 LM. Count all that, plus the wild cards from Noble, Morgan and Ariel and then try and claim the Brits can’t give the Italians a run for their money. It's a toughy...
One final note. Spot the odd one out, then explain why it does actually belong.
