Gallery: JDM legends at ‘90s Sunday

It was the 1990s when the world of Japanese cars really opened up to those of us in the UK. While the Japanese car industry has a much longer history than twenty-something years ago, it wasn’t until the final decade of the 20th century that what Japan produced started to gain real traction in Europe.

No longer where Japanese cars derided for their allegedly poor design and slightly dull demeanour, cars like the Impreza, Skyline and Evo left us in no doubt that Japanese cars were not only here to stay, but ready to challenge, and often beat, whatever we could produce.

At ‘90s Sunday, our latest Breakfast Club meet, we were treated to some truly JDM legends, with cars including the Nissan Sylvia and 300ZX joining Toyotas Supra and Celica to show off exactly what Japan could do to take on the likes of the M3.
