Gallery: Walking the paddocks of Classic Car Sunday

24th July 2022

A stroll around Goodwood Breakfast Club’s Classic Car Sunday is a pleasant experience no matter where you are. There is no real grid this year, as we’re letting the Settrington Cup take over in preparation for its tenth birthday, but it’s always in the paddocks where you’ll find the sheer weight of Breakfast Club car content.

In these three areas, lined with the wooden shelters that hold cars during the Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport and Revival, that you can find yourself quite literally surrounded by cars. Not only are the famous shelters filled, but cars park three to four deep in the middle, with none of the temporary paddocks you’d find at our major events. This is the perfect place for a road car lover.

There are no rules to dictate what parks in the paddocks, so it is a proper free-for-all mix of cars. In here we’ve found a pre-war Invicta, parked across from the quite improbably Goggomobil Coupe (more on that later).

In paddock one there’s a monster Plymouth Barracuda, not far from a lightweight Alfa GTA. The paddocks are the place to have your mind blown and your attention grabbed this weekend.

What’s your favourite from a walk through the Classic Car Sunday paddocks?
