Finally, after two years away due to that big thing that ruined the world for so long, Supercar Sunday Breakfast Club at Goodwood is back! And, looking at the lineup of cars that have requested a place, it’s going to be back with one hell of a bang!
Over the years, Supercar Sunday has become the traditional start to our Breakfast Club season and it is undoubtedly our most popular, and quite possibly our most spectacular. Featuring an incredible array of machines you’re unlikely to see elsewhere – at least not very often or in such scale – the lineup at Supercar Sunday is good enough to make some automotive exotica seem humdrum.
The highlights found instantly on the list of cars accredited include more than one Zagato-bodied Aston Martin Vanquish – a few of a very limited number made – the latest stunners from Ferrari in the form of the SF90 and Roma, an SP2, and even a Porsche Carerra GT.
The grid, which we shall not reveal too much of so as not to spoil the surprise, is enough to send us weak at the knees, including as it does, a McLaren 765LT, Ferrari 360 Modena, Lamborghini Murcielago, Chrysler Viper, Bugatti Chiron and Lamborghini Countache.
Elsewhere, the list is almost enough to cast the Ferrari 488 and Porsche 911 GT3 RS into the shade, but expect to find a selection of cars including everything from the mighty Ferrari 812 GTS, to the practically homebuilt but still awesome Noble M12.
You’ll also find supercars from Lotus, TVR, Audi, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz and Corvette around the paddocks and motor circuit track. With around 700 particularly special cars given passes to take part in this year’s event, it will fill the paddocks as well as a significant section of the runs to both Woodcote and Madgwick.
If you applied and were declined, please don’t take it too personally, with so many applicants we do reach our quota on some cars rather quickly – even supercars. But please do remember to head over, because our car parks are often just as special as the event itself!
Tickets are still available for free, so if you want to come along and see some amazing automotive exotica, please do remember to grab yourself a ticket and remember that cars will be let in from around 7am on Sunday. We can’t wait to see you back for our first Breakfast Club of 2022!
