The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale’s presence at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard marks the first time it’ll be shown outside Italy, and it will be joined by the Junior, which will be on display in Electric Avenue.

Alfa Romeo’s history has had a great influence over the 33 Stradale – this latest version was inspired by the 1967 model it shares its name with. It is also incredibly exclusive; as its name suggests, only 33 examples will be made and each lucky owner has had the opportunity to work with the Alfa Romeo Bottega to personalise their car as they desire, in a return to ‘fuoriserie,’ or custom-built cars for the marque.

The Bottega draws inspiration from Renaissance workshops and 1960s coachbuilders, who worked closely with their customers. Today’s buyers have a choice between either a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, producing over 629PS (462kW), or opt for the fully electric powertrain with more than 760PS (559kW).

It’s a thing of beauty, and has recently won the coveted Design Concept award at the Concorso di Eleganza d’Este. As if just looking at it wasn’t enough proof. We can’t wait to get a closer look at the 33 Stradale, you should definitely check it out when it goes on display near the Supercar Paddock.

Joining this rarity at the Festival of Speed will be the Junior SUV on display in Electric Avenue. The Junior is Alfa Romeo’s first fully-electric car and has three different versions available: Junior Elettrica, Speciale, Veloce, all of which can be recharged from 10-80 per cent in under half an hour with a 100kW rapid charger. Two power outputs are available: 158PS (116kW) up to a 250 mile WLTP range for the Junior Elettrica and Speciale versions, or 284PS (209kW) up to 215 miles for the sportier Veloce.

For a first foray into the all-electric world, with the Veloce model specifically Alfa Romeo has put big focus on the handling, aiming for “best-in-class” road holding. The suspension has been lowered by 25mm, the front brake discs are over 380mm with four-piston monobloc calipers, and the front and back anti-roll bars and Torsen diff offer a high level of grip and traction, according to Alfa.

Electric Avenue is an unmissable opportunity to see the Junior and more of the latest electric cars at the Festival of Speed.

Only Thursday general admission tickets remain, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday tickets now sold out, although a limited number of hospitality packages for all days are still available. Tickets and packages can be purchased from £70.
