Alpine has laid its cards on the table for the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, with a list of cars headlined by the exciting A290_β electric hot hatch expected to go on sale next year.
This will be the first time we get to see the A290_β out in public following the initial launch back in May, so we’re looking forward to seeing what it can do when it’s unleashed on the Hill for the first time on Thursday.
Alongside the A290_β, Alpine is also bringing along a trio of A110 variants. First up is the A110 R, the radical track-fettled sportscar designed to deliver the most extreme version of the A110 ever. It’s lighter, more aerodynamically efficient, and comes with a 300PS (221kW) turbocharged engine that brings up 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds. Expect this to look pretty spectacular on the Hill.
Building on that extreme track car basis, and also taking to the Hill throughout the weekend, is the A110 R Le Mans, of which just 100 will be built. It takes the A110 R, and incorporates special aesthetic additions to celebrate the centenary of Le Mans.
And topping off Alpine’s line up for this year’s Festival of Speed is the A110 E-ternité, which will be on display in Electric Avenue. It’s an electric conversion of the existing A110, adapted into an open-topped configuration. With Alpine set to disclose more on its electric future in the coming months, we’ll be intrigued to see how the E-ternité shapes the future of Alpine sportscars.
On the point of future Alpines, the manufacturer has also teased the announcement of another new car, which will be in attendance. We will bring news of that here on GRR as soon as it’s revealed.
