FOS Future Lab presented by Randox is a celebration of innovation, and a look at how the brightest minds in the world are taking us into the future. It's well worth a visit during this year's Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. If you love cars, you love engineering, you’ll love what we have to show.
This year FOS Future Lab is broken up into four themes.‘Beyond Earth, For Earth’ explores some of the latest innovations in space transportation and research.
Here we have exhibits from the James Webb Space Telescope, Argonaut Large Lunar Lander and more.
‘Powering the Future’ explores solutions to power the future efficiently and cleanly, with exhibits looking at alternative fuels and propulsion, as well as other sustainable energy solutions.
Here we have Culkham Centre for Fusion Energy exhibits, looking at how we commercialist and scale-up fusion energy, as well as AutoNaut, creator of wave- and solar-powered unscrewed sea vessels. There’s all this and much more within the ‘powering the future’ section.
‘Mobility on a mission’ feels very close to home for us and is the third FOS Future Lab theme, looking at new mobility solutions.
Included are the Indy Autonomous Challenge, Skyports Drone Services, the Academy of Robotics, Roam Motors and more, exploring autonomous, sustainable and low-cost transport solutions.
The fourth theme within FOS Future Lab at the 2023 Festival of Speed is ‘Simulated Worlds’, which looks at investigating how virtual platforms can benefit us. Be that in industry, culture, education or health.
Included are exhibits from Epic Games (yes, the creators of Fortnite) as well as Valkyrie Industries, Dimension Studio and more. The potential of the digital realm is only expanding, powering creativity and innovation and with the kinds of tools on display, who knows what could be possible in the very near future.
