The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard will once again play host to FOS Future Lab presented by Randox, a showcase of technology and innovation that provides us all with an immersive look at what tomorrow’s world might look like.
This year, FOS Future Lab is once again shining a spotlight on ‘Technology for a Better World’, incorporating the work of 23 exhibitors, from scientific innovators to pioneering engineers. It’s also set to feature a special curation – ‘Beyond Earth, For Earth’ – put together by astronaut Tim Peak, exploring the latest advancements in space transportation and research.
Speaking about his involvement this year, Tim Peake said: “I’m thrilled to be heading to the Festival of Speed this July and to be a part of Future Lab. It’s been an incredible experience co-curating the space elements of this fabulous exhibition and I know visitors will be blown away by the variety and innovation on display this year.”
Visitors to the FOS Future Lab stand can also expect to see exhibits showcasing innovations in clean energy production and storage, new-age mobility solutions and how virtual reality might become a key tool for industry, culture, education and more.
FOS Future Lab’s presenting partner Randox will also be showcasing its own latest technological breakthrough. Called the RABTA, it’s a cutting-edge healthcare diagnostic machine capable of outputting patient results from a Biochip continuously minute by minute, and can be used to test for a huge range of health conditions. Visitors to the event will be able to learn more about the RABTA during the Festival of Speed.
Alongside showcasing a wide range of futuristic and potentially life-changing technology, FOS Future Lab is also dedicated to providing an educational experience through STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) learning. Adults and younger children will all be able to engage in a variety of hands-on activities provided by many of the exhibitors in attendance.
The 2023 Festival of Speed takes place from 13th-16th July and FOS Future Lab will be open to visitors throughout the event. Thursday tickets are still available for purchase, click here to book or find out more.
