Gallery: EVs aplenty at Electric Avenue

23rd June 2022
Andrew Willis

The Electric Avenue returns to the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, and in 2022, it’s bigger, better and busier than ever before. Showcasing the present and future of all things electric motoring, it is very much a core asset of the festival and wider industry in the face of a changing world.

Judging by the area’s hustle and bustle, it seems that change is already here, as both young and old optimistically immerse themselves in electric mobility. With thirty cars on display, all open to the public to get hands on with, technologies range from superminis for the weekly shop, to utterly bonkers hypercars for, well, turning your stomach inside out with dizzying instant acceleration.

Test drives are also available in the very latest concept cars to spark the imagination as some of the world’s leading EV manufacturers including BMW, Fisker, Ford, Kia, Mercedes and Porsche showcase their plug-in innovation. Electric Avenue is an unmissable, necessary, inspiring place to be.
