Gallery: The new Lotus Emira at FOS

13th July 2021
Ethan Jupp

Hot off its digital unveiling, the Lotus Emira was here at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard as, arguably, the car of the event. With Lotus as the featured marque and talk of a bright future, the Emira, sharp as it looks and nice as it feels, is a car that inspires belief. It was a natural choice of car to open the Festival on Thursday, too.

Being a car that straddles both Lotus’s past and future, its run up the Hill was soundtracked by a familiar but fabulous 3.5-litre V6 supercharged engine. We wouldn’t be surprised if allocations for the limited First Edition models are running thin on the ground already simply through deposits taken over the weekend. Is the Emira the coolest sportscar you can get for under £60,000?
