Gallery: The supercars and classics of Performance Parking

23rd June 2022
Adam Wilkins

It’s a public car park like no other. The Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is a great excuse for a road trip, and if you arrive in a qualifying car there’s the option to leave your car in the dedicated Performance Parking area while you spend the day exploring the Goodwood site. For the rest of us, Performance Parking is a destination in itself.

Performance Parking is split over two areas, each filled with a great mixture of performance cars from the past and present. Flying the flag for the classics were stand-out cars like a bright yellow Lotus Esprit and E21 generation Alpina. Prefer your cars more up to date? There are wall to wall Aston Martins, Lamborghinis and Porsches from the modern era. One of the highlights for us is the Radical, which was braving the morning’s rain shower in its natural fully exposed guise. Who needs a roof and a windscreen anyway?

There will be more over the coming days, as cars come and go for the duration of 2022’s Festival of Speed. For now can you pick a favourite from our gallery of Thursday arrivals?
