Gallery: The weird and wonderful manufacturer stands of FOS 2019

04th July 2019
Andrew Evans

One of the highlights of the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is the manufacturer stands. Carmakers from around the world create their own miniature showrooms, to exhibit their latest and greatest creations, and celebrate some of their achievements this year. These can range from the minimalist to the considerably more flamboyant.

At the former end of that scale is the very Swedish Polestar stand. This features a display area and auditorium for its new Polestar 2, with an area at the side where visitors can take a guided look round both cars.

Just next door is Ford’s three-tiered stand, with the new Focus ST taking pride of place, and an alpine slide for a rapid descent from the top level. Honda’s two-level area is designed to resemble the front end of its new Honda e city car – and the top floor is entirely dedicated to the vehicle.

Toyota’s stand is more focused on the new Supra, but also features some of its race cars from 2019. That includes a battered Supra GT4 fresh from the Nürburgring 24, a Hilux Dakar truck, and the double-champion Toyota TS050 Hybrid Le Mans racer, still bearing the dirt from its race last month.

There are many highlights spread around the manufacturer stands. Have a look through our gallery for your favourites.
