30th May 2022

Last week we told you the Toyota GR86, manual GR Supra, GR Yaris Rally Cup and bZ4X SUV would all be coming to the 2022 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. Now we’re delighted to announce the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept, the LFA’s spiritual successor, will be travelling from Japan to be seen in Europe for the very first time.

To be shown alongside the new RZ 450e and UX 300e, the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept, as the name suggests, sadly does not have a screaming V10 engine as the LFA did. Instead, Lexus says, “it is possible that a production model may use new solid-state battery technology to achieve authentic high performance,” the company quoting a low two-second 0-62mph time and a cruising range of more than 430 miles.

To see the concept you’ll need to head to Electric Avenue: The Road to 2030, the home of EVs at the Festival, a place that gives visitors the chance to get up close and personal with the latest and greatest electric cars. Within that you’ll find the British Volt Concept Paddock, where the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept, and a number of other concepts, will be on display.

The Festival of Speed is now less than one month away, but there are still limited tickets available for both Thursday and Friday, and click here for more details.
