Maserati’s new mid-engined MC20 will make its UK debut in the Supercar Run at the 2021 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
The MC20 is powered by a mid-mounted 639PS (470kW) twin-turbocharged V6 engine and can sprint to 62mph from a standstill in just 2.88 seconds, before continuing all the way to a top speed in excess of 202mph.
While it won’t be reaching those blistering speeds up the iconic 1.16-mile hillclimb, with GT1 world champion (in the MC12) and Maserati test driver Andrea Bertolini behind the wheel, visitors to the Festival are guaranteed a sensational display.
When it is not in action, the MC20 will be found in the Supercar Paddock presented by Michelin, with a copy of its innovative ‘Nettuno’ engine on adjacent display. Designed by the Centro Stile Maserati, developed by the Maserati Innovation Lab and built in Modena, the car is a beauty, with butterfly doors and a sleek silhouette.
It will be joined on the Hill by the 203mph Ghibli Trofeo, with its 580PS (427kW) twin-turbo V8 engine and sonorous exhaust note. Off the Hill, this will be found in the First Glance Paddock.
