New BMW M4 CS will make UK debut at the Festival of Speed

The latest version of the BMW M4 CS is faster and lighter than ever. It uses the same straight-six as the regular M4, but with 2.1 bar of boost pressure power swells to 550PS (405kW) and 650Nm (479lb ft) of torque from 2,750rpm. New engine mounts and a four-wheel-drive system with improved cooling should make the CS an ideal candidate for the famous Festival of Speed Hill.

As should performance that sees this newest version of the BMW M4 get from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and 0-124mph in 11.1 seconds on its way to a 188mph top speed. Titanium exhausts should also deliver a satisfying sound as well.

The BMW XM Label, meanwhile, is the most powerful BMW M model ever made, producing 758PS (550kW) and a whopping 1,000Nm (738lb ft) of torque, enough to catapult this behemoth from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds. It is also the most  flamboyant version of BMW’s striking plug-in hybrid SUV with red highlights on the wheels, grille, window surrounds and on large parts of the interior. 

While the M4 CS and the XM will be flying the BMW flag in this year’s First Glance batch, the manufacturer will have plenty of other exciting things going on throughout all four days of the Festival of Speed.

The 2024 Festival of Speed takes place on 11^th-14^th July. Only Thursday general admission tickets remain, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday tickets now sold out, although a limited number of hospitality packages for all days are still available. Tickets and packages can be purchased from £70.
