The Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard has become one of the world’s most important showcases of the latest road car and future mobility tech, and the 2022 event will be no different. This year’s Michelin Supercar Paddock will present some of the wildest and most incredible machines on sale today while the First Glance Paddock presented by heycar brings a glimpse of what you could buy.
A total of 52 supercars will be taking to the Hill during the Michelin Supercar Run, a list that includes the headline debuts of the Mercedes-AMG One, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 and the Czinger 21C.
Other supercars set to make their debuts at the 2022 Festival of Speed include the Kalmar Automotive RS-R, Radford Lotus Type 62/2 and Hispano Suiza Carmen, as well as the exciting-looking Prodrive P25.
As always, the Michelin Supercar Paddock features a comprehensive showcase of the world’s best supercars. The list of manufacturers alone ought to be enough to highlight just how impressive a sight these cars are, whether they’re parked up in the paddock, or making tracks up the Festival of Speed Hill.
The likes of Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Czinger, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Lotus, McLaren, Pagani, Porsche and Zenvo are all bringing the best they have to offer from their respective supercar ranges, and we can’t wait to take a stroll among them when they arrive at Goodwood House.
The list from Ferrari alone, as it celebrates its 75-year anniversary, features the SP38, SF90 Spider, 296 GTB and 812 Competizione. It’s joined by fellow Italians Pagani, Lamborghini and Maserati, bringing a Huayra R, Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae and MC20 Cielo respectively.
Then there’s McLaren, once again flexing its own supercar muscles with a catalogue of models including the 720S Coupe, Speedtail, P1, Artura and 765LT Spider. Meanwhile, other more left field names include the Rimac Nevera, Czinger 21C, Zenvo TSR-S, Eadon Green Zeclat, Hennessey Venom F5 and the Delage D12. Koenigsegg fans will be pleased to see the Gemera GT alongside a Jesko, while anyone looking for a little more poise will be eyeing up the Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge.
Aston Martin continues to fly the British flag in the supercar arena, and it too will be bringing a collection of cars including the DBS, DB11 and Vantage F1 Edition. Lotus will also be here with its Evija, Bentley with the latest Continental GT Mulliner and Jaguar with the F-Type R.
Topping off this quite incredible list of supercars, we have Bugatti, which will be bringing some of its most outrageous cars, including the Chiron Super Sport 300+ and Veryon 16.4 World Record Edition. And finally, Porsche will also at the Festival of Speed, with a 718 GT4 RS and 911 GT2 RS.
While the Supercar Paddock is filled with the most exotic cars in the world, the First Glance Paddock presented by heycar gives you a glimpse of some of the most innovative, but also affordable, cars on the planet. The 2022 First Glance Paddock will again showcase some of the world’s newest vehicles including the brand new Ford Ranger Raptor and Porsche 911 Sport Classic.
In all, 30 cars are scheduled to make their way up the Hill as part of the First Glance batch, and there are plenty of exciting first looks to get stuck into. Among them are the luxurious and electric Lucid Air, the Aston Martin DBX707 with its 707PS (520kW) 4.0-litre V8, and the Bentley Continental GT S. Other highlights include the Ford ‘Very Gay’ Raptor, BMW M4 CSL, the ElectraMeccanica Solo and the Kia EV6 GT.
