New details have been revealed about one of the star attractions of the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard for 2021. Michelin has spilt some of the beans on what we can expect to see in the Michelin Supercar Paddock…
As usual, the variety will be spectacular, from boutique hypercars to dealer-bought machinery with extensive warranty support, to resto-mods and track weapons. Confirmed cars include the Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR, the Manthey Racing-tuned machine that trounced the standard car to a Nürburgring lap record and the Mercedes-AMG GT R Black series.
Also joining will be the new Everrati ‘Signature’ modified Porsche 911, which swaps a flat-six for batteries and motors.
Koenigsegg will also be in attendance, with its Regera ‘megacar’ poised to fill the Sussex countryside with the smell of burned rubber and the sound of a bellowing 5.0-litre V8.
On stage in the Supercar Paddock will be Vicki Butler-Henderson and racing legend Tim Harvey, to talk spectators through the arsenal of exotic machinery on show.
There are quite a few surprises left in the bag in the 70-car strong Batch Six run that can be left until the Festival arrives on 8th July. For now, though, reckon you can take a guess at what the 6.2-litre V8 supercar is that’s getting its dynamic debut?
