In spite of the Cartier Lawn providing some respite from the relentless noise and competition of the Hill, it is the venue of an altogether different competition: the Cartier Style et Luxe, the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard’s very own Concours de Elegance.
Eight classes comprised of a selection of cars, each celebrating a storied breed, make, model or individual. A winner is picked first from each class and then overall from the lawn.
This year we were celebrating everything from 25 years of the Pagani Zonda, to Beach Cars, and tractors made by road car brands. There was also a whistle-stop tour of Marcello Gandini’s assorted works over two classes, alongside a celebration of 90 years to the Bugatti Type 57 and the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost.
