Friday at the 2024 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard marked the first major balcony moment of the event, an unforgettable celebration of ‘The King’, Richard Petty. Between that and all the other action during the course of the day, there was a lot to take in. And now, we can relive it all thanks to this near-eleven-hour full day live stream.

That’s right, not a second of the action is missed and is now preserved for us all to enjoy over and over again. From the runnings of the themed ‘Horseless to Hybrid’ batches up the Hill, commemorating the evolution of our favourite machines, to the next chances to see some world-firsts thanks to the First Glance presented by heycar run, or some of the fastest cars in existence in from the Supercar Paddock.

Highlights from Friday included spectacular displays from the Red Arrows and the MG centenary Celebration Moment, as well as the rally, timed shootout and another look at the batch honouring Drift, Joest, Mercedes-Benz, and the great Niki Lauda. Speaking of Formula 1, Friday saw Fernando Alonso take to the Hill in the Aston Martin Valiant, and he stopped for an entertaining chat on his experience and the car afterwards.

Of course, the big moment on Day 2 was the balcony moment celebrating the incredible career of NASCAR legend Richard Petty, during which he won 200 races, seven Cup Series championships, and seven Daytona 500 wins. To have the man himself here and behold his charisma and infectious love of his sport in the flesh was extraordinary, so it’s a treat to experience this, and all the other action, all over again.
