Maserati’s new mid-engined MC20 supercar joined the long list of debuts we’re racking up here at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. Perhaps one of the most aesthetically pleasing debuts so far, the sleek MC20 certainly looks the part and looking down the spec sheet, it’s capable of delivering on the Hillclimb too.
Powered by a mid-mounted 639PS (470kW) twin-turbocharged V6 engine, the MC20 can stretch its legs to 62mph from a standstill in only 2.88 seconds and is capable of surging to a top speed in excess of 202mph – the butterfly-doored MC20 is a very serious piece of kit indeed. Thankfully Maserati test driver Andrea Bertolini didn’t give it the full beans up the Hill, as this is such a pretty specimen, we wouldn’t want to miss it in a blur of speed.
