Friday at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is when we really start hitting our stride, with non-stop action kicking-off all over the site.
This year, under a near cloudless sky we witnessed the first rounds of Driftkhana – our brand new form of motorsport mixing sprint and drifting, created at Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard.
We also saw the first practice runs for the Timed Shootout on Sunday. And boy is everyone already looking pinned. Justin Law was fastest in practice, even with Travis Pastrana pushing as hard as he can in his Gymkhana Subaru Impreza, James Deane, the reigning Driftkhana champ, suffered an issue in his run, leaving the door open to his rivals.
If that wasn’t enough we also caught our first glimpse of F1 cars on the Hill, along with a whole host of supercars, pre-war beauties, Dakar hero Sam Sunderland popping wheelies, topped off with a quick chat with one of our Maestros, Mario Andretti. We’ve collated all that and more into a handy 10-minute edit for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
