I'm not going to lie, I've been looking forward to this all weekend. This weekend at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard has produced so many memories, not only the chance to see Nigel Mansell drive up the Hill, but to do it in his 1992 Formula 1 world championship winning Williams FW14B. Just wow.
It's difficult to think of a more iconic image than Our Nige driving the 'Red 5' Williams FW14B. Memories came flooding back, firstly of that unique track invasion at Silverstone, and of course that momentous day in Hungary when Mansell finally sealed his Formula 1 world championship.
On a weekend when we had seen Wayne Rainey get back on a bike for the first time in nearly 30 years, it's hardly believable that we were also treated to Mansell getting reunited with his championship-winning car.
As if seeing him in the car wasn't enough, Mansell was then mobbed by fans as he made his way up to Goodwood House in what was a truly emotional moment on the Balcony. This is why we love the Festival of Speed.
