You know a video is going to be good when it starts with a Ford Escort steaming into the first corner of the Goodwood Hill with a healthy dose of opposite lock.
Today we’re taking another look back at some of the action from the 2021 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
They might be a short walk away, but a trip to the Forest Rally Stage and Off-Road Arena to see new and old off-road and rally machines slide between the trees and tackle monstrous jumps is always worthwhile. If you can’t, however, then the sideways heroes do make trips up the Hill over the course of the weekend. This gives spectators the perfect opportunity to see machines backed into corners from the very start of their hillclimb ascents. Here, our view of the madness comes not from the regular TV cameras but from YouTuber Scoot Supercars perched trackside, and what a view it is. Goodness, these drivers really don’t like to go in straight lines…
