The latest tech, the stuff of history – this is what makes the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard so special. And we are now just over a month away from it all kicking off again.
With that in mind, today’s Elevenses is a heady mix of raw, trackside footage from the last day of the last Festival of Speed, back in 2019. It starts, a bit sedately, with some supercars doing some very slow turns at the turning circle. But pretty soon your ears are being blasted by a Ferrari FXX, then there’s a V10-era ex-Schumacher F1 car making some glorious noise, Mad Mike showing off for no real reason other than “Well, why not” and more.
The whole video just keeps getting better to be honest, and we’d be hard pushed to pick either a best visual or sound from this incredible selection (although it is very hard to beat a V10 F1 car). It even proves that the Volkswagen ID.R made an incredible noise, even without a combustion engine.
So we’ll leave that task to you, let us know in the comments which of these mighty machines put on the very best show. And remember that we’ll be doing it all over again, very soon.
Welcome to Goodwood Elevenses, a mid-morning helping of motoring-related amusement to help break up your day. Watch the last video: Pikes Peak still looks terrifying
