The Bonhams tent at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is always filled with some pretty spectacular cars, and this year is no different. As always, if you have the money to spend, there is plenty here to tempt you.
The obvious highlights are of course the Benetton B193 Formula 1 car, a car that ran recently at the 79th Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport and remains entirely drivable. So if you fancy yourself as something of an F1 driver, this is your chance, as long as you can meet the hardly unsurprising £1.1-£1.6million price estimate.
Among a long list of other hugely enticing lots are a Jaguar XJ220, a Mercedes-AMG SLS and a Ferrari Dino 246 GTS, but there are several more affordable cars going under the hammer, too, from a 1993 Lancia Delta Evo 2 to a 1966 Ford Mustang ‘K Code’ GT Convertible and even an Aston Martin V12 Vantage.
Join Goodwood regulars Smith and Sniff, also known as Jonny Smith and Richard Porter, as they wander around the 2022 sale.
