Amongst all the supercars, F1 cars and star drivers, one of the highlights of every Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is the Sunday timed shootout.

This year was no different, as an amazing array of racing cars took to the track to push the very limits of the 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill. In an amazing display of the variety of machinery that the Festival brings together, F1 cars of the 1970s took on modern GT3 machinery and purpose-built time attack cars in a close fought battle.

While no-one troubled Nick Heidfeld’s long held record of 41.6-seconds the top 10 did get within just a handful of seconds of that incredible mark.
