Bentley Motors Ltd was founded by Walter Owen (W.O.) Bentley in Cricklewood, London, 100 years ago in 1919. It quickly established an enviable reputation for building outstandingly well-engineered and rapid luxury/performance cars, taking its first of six victories at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1924.
Via the purposeful 1920s ‘Blower’ Bentleys and beautiful coachbuilt ‘Derby’ Bentleys of the 1930s, through to the Crewe-built post-war models such as the legendary R-Type Continental, S1, T-Series, Mulsanne, Arnage and 21st Century Continental GT, Bentley today is one of the world’s leading and most admired sporting luxury car marques.
Presented here on the hallowed turf of the Goodwood Cricket Pitch – the oldest in the world where the rules of original cricket were written – are 31 of the finest and most significant Bentley motor cars from the marque’s first century.
