You already know that multiple F1 teams are coming to the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. But which Formula 1 drivers will be there over the weekend?

In this article we’ll keep you updated on who has been confirmed from the world of Formula 1, and then let you speculate about who else might be joining us.

Which F1 teams are coming to the Festival of Speed?

We already have McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari and Williams confirmed as strutting their stuff at the 2023 Festival of Speed.

Which current drivers are coming to the Festival of Speed?

McLaren has confirmed that both of its current F1 drivers will be at Goodwood this summer. Lando Norris is sure to be in high demand when he makes an appearance on the Saturday, driving something special from McLaren’s back catalogue. On Sunday his rookie team-mate, Australian Oscar Piastri, will take his place in the cockpit for some Hill runs.

Williams is also bringing both of its current F1 drivers. American rookie Logan Sargeant will drive a classic Williams FW08C (the car Keke Rosberg drove to the F1 crown in 1982) up the Hill on Saturday and Alex Albon will follow on Sunday.

Mercedes has confirmed that its reserve driver Mick Schumacher will be driving his father’s W02 on both Saturday and Sunday of the event.

Which former F1 drivers will be at the Festival of Speed?

In case you hadn’t seen the news, we’ll be joined by four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel for the weekend. Seb will be driving some F1 cars he owns, all on sustainable fuels, including his Williams FW14B and McLaren MP4/8.

Fellow F1 champion Jenson Button will also be there. He'll be driving for Williams, attending with his own company Radford, and possibly even more over the weekend.

Two more champions taking to the Hill will be Mika Häkkinen, who returns to the cockpit of his 1999 McLaren MP4/14 as part of the celebration of 60 years of McLaren racing, while Emreson Fittipaldi will also reunite with his McLaren championship winner, the M23.

Mercedes will also be showcasing its 2021 F1 car, the W12, in the hands of former F1 racer turned sportscar driver Esteban Gutiérrez. Perhaps better known for his sportscar successes, Goodwood House Captain Emanuele Pirro will also be returning to the F1 saddle as he drives a McLaren MP4/2B.

And that’s not all. As part of several of our own celebrations there will be F1 drivers on the Hill, and we’ll be adding their names to this list very soon.

Where can I find the full list of VIP Drivers at Goodwood?

Very soon we’ll have our page up listing all the people you’re going to want to see in action on the Hill. We’ll add a link here as soon as we know.
