Day three is the final flourish for the Goodwood Revival and the 2024 edition was no exception. It was the climax of the event in every sense, from the on-track action, to the weather, with everything from downpours of rain to bright, radiant sunshine.
The perfect setup, then, for a day’s racing that had everything from ‘60s F1 cars to the titans of the RAC TT taking to the Motor Circuit. The circuit really was sodden for the Earl of March Trophy and Richmond & Gordon Trophies, though it seemed to dry out towards the end for that.
Some of our team hid from the rain at the launch of the Tyrrell Shed. Jackie Stewart, Martin Brundle, Jochen Mass and a number of personnel from the Tyrrell Racing Organisation’s glory days gathered in celebration for an emotional moment behind Jackie’s 1973 Championship car.
Happily, the weather turned on its head for the late afternoon, with the RAC TT, St Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul and Freddie March Memorial Trophy bathed in the late summer sun that often typifies the Revival, but that has been vanishingly rare for 2024. Here are ten of the best snaps from the final day of the Goodwood Revival.
