The time has come when we can reveal the full entry list for the 2024 Goodwood Revival. We’re gearing up for three packed days of historic motorsport set to inspire and entertain with many of the world’s greatest drivers climbing into stunning cars from Goodwood’s original era.

This year, the entire Revival entry list will be running exclusively on sustainable fuel, marking a historic occasion for Goodwood and the wider world of motorsport.

More than 300 cars and bikes are set to race over the course of the three days, and they’ll be joined by hundreds more taking part in celebrations of John Surtees and Meyers Manx, not to mention what is sure to be a stunning commemoration of D-Day.

The first race of the weekend is the Sussex Trophy, a race for world championship sportscars from 1955-1960. The grid is set to feature nine-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Tom Kristensen in a Cooper T38, three-time Le Mans winner Andre Lotterer and three-time BTCC champion Gordon Shedden in a pair of Lister Knobblys, and European Le Mans Series LMP3 champion Alex Brundle in a Lister ‘Costin’.

Alfa Romeos, ERAs and Maseratis dominate the Goodwood Trophy field. Patrick Blakeney-Edwards will be racing in his Frazer Nash ‘Fane’ Monoposto and Rob Hall will be behind the wheel of the stunning V16-engined BRM Type 15.

We’re also set to welcome one of the most stacked grids in the history of the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy. It’ll be headlined by Michael Dunlop, the most successful Isle of Man TT rider of all time, atop a Norton Manx. He’ll be joined by fellow TT racers John McGuinness, Davey Todd, Michael Rutter and James Hillier. The 2011 WSBK champion Carlos Checa will also be racing on a Norton Manx.

The Fordwater Trophy for production-based sports and GT cars from 1955-1960 will feature a svelte line-up of Porsche 356s, Jaguar XK150s, Elva Couriers and MGAs, before several of the world’s most famous drivers emerge for Part 1 of the St. Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul. In no particular order, seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson will be racing a Ford Galaxie, and he’ll be up against five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro in an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA, Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner in a BMW 1800 TiSA, reigning Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard Timed Shootout champion Romain Dumas in another Galaxie, and a host of touring car stars past and present including Matt Neal, Jake Hill, Tom Ingram, Rob Huff, Andy Priaulx, Gordon Shedden, Andrew Jordan and Anthony Reid.

Current Formula E racer Jean-Eric Vergne and Jochen Mass will also be running in Giulia Sprint GTAs, Alex Brundle will be mixing it in a Mini Cooper S, and Abbie Eaton will be attempting to tame a Plymouth Barracuda.

Following that, another sportscar battle with the Madgwick Cup, this time between sports racers from 1955-1960, fought by a grid of Lotus 11s, 17s and 19s, Lola Mk1s, Cooper T39s and a host of combatants from Elva, Kieft and Porsche.

The monsters of the Whitsun Trophy presented by Sky will of course bring the noise as Alex Brundle takes to the Motor Circuit again in a Lola T70 Spyder. He’ll be racing against Nick Padmore in a stunningly rare Hamill SR3 and Adrian Newey in his own Ford GT40.

Things just keep getting better as Tom Kristensen returns to the track at the wheel of a Ferrari 250 GT SWB in the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy. One of the most prestigious races of the Revival features another legend-filled grid with the likes of Gordon Shedden, Rob Huff, Rory Butcher and Darren Turner each piloting Jaguar E-types. Emanuele Pirro will be climbing into a Ferrari 250 GT SWB, and the ultimate pairing of Dario Franchitti and Jimmie Johnson will combine in an Aston Martin DB4GT. James Cottingham, meanwhile, will no doubt be battling hard in an AC Cobra.

The Earl of March Trophy for 500cc Formula 3 cars will offer quite the contrast, with diminutive machines from Cooper, Comet, Kieft, Flash and Arnott taking to the Motor Circuit before the grand prix racers of the 1950s emerge for the Richmond & Gordon Trophies. The grid is set to feature front-engined Maserati 250Fs, Connaughts and Ferrari 246 Dinos against the rear-engine pioneers of Cooper and Lotus.

We’ll get serious for a moment when the flag drops for the RAC TT Celebration, the blue riband race of the Revival always brings together a stunning grid, and this year will be no different. Tom Kristensen will be in a Lister Coupe, Dario Franchitti in a Cobra, Matt Neal in a Bizzarrini 5300GT, Emanuele Pirro in a Porsche 904 decked out in a striking livery, Jimmie Johnson in a Cobra Le Mans Coupe, Abbie Eaton will be teaming up with Duncan Pittaway in the fearsome Cheetah and Adrian Newey will once again be aiming for glory in his own Jaguar E-type lightweight. The list keeps going, too, it’s going to be a good one.

Glover Trophy (48 of 53) toby copy.jpg

BRMs and Lotuses dominate the field for the Glover Trophy, but the grid is dotted with a Ferrari 1512, a Gilby Type B1, a Brabham BT14 and a Derrington Francis. This race for grand prix cars from 1961-1965 is always a highlight of the Revival as the memory of Formula one at Goodwood is kindled.

The weekend of racing ends with the Freddie March Memorial Trophy on Sunday evening, and Tiff Needell will be at the wheel of a Jaguar C-type as 1950s sportscars of a type that raced in the famed Goodwood Nine Hour races return to do battle once more. There will be Frazer Nash Le Mans Replicas, Aston Martin DB3Ss, HWMs, the memorable Ford Thunderbird ‘Battlebird’ and a gorgeous Ferrari 750 Monza in action.

All of this will of course be supplemented by several displays throughout the weekend, including a stunning array of D-Day machinery that will be taking to the Motor Circuit on Sunday.
