Always a show-steeler, the Revival's Settrington Cup sees the future of motorsport battle it out in Austin J40 pedal cars at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
A race for children up to the age of 10, Part 1 took place on Saturday afternoon and saw drivers navigate their way down just under 250 yards of the start-finish straight. After a hectic Le Mans start it was Teddy Horne who took the early lead. He was challenged by defending champion Luca Franchitti, who had a great start, but Horne continued to lead at the chicane.
Further down the field we saw a spot of congestion, as some participants took the time to give a wave to the crowds, while some questionable racing lines taken by others through the chicane served to block the way of rivals.
As the chequered flag drew close, Franchitti passed Horne for the lead and pumped his fist in celebration after crossing the finish line in first position. He took the combined win last year with a fifth place finish in Race 1 and a third place finish in Race 2, so he's in an even better position in 2024 ahead of the conclusion of the Settrington Cup on Sunday morning.
