Gallery: 20 years of Revival winners

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Revival, Goodwood will conduct a very special parade.

Taking place once on each day, the parade features cars that have won a race at the Revival. There are more than 60 cars and bikes taking part, covering the previous 19 years of the event.

As you might expect, British cars put on a strong showing. There are seven Jaguars, including three Mk1s and a D-Type longnose. That count doesn’t include the Lister-Jaguars, with both a 1959 Costin and a 1959 Knobbly, and the 1952 RGS Atalanta.

Also representing the UK are AC, with three Cobras, and Aston Martin, with cars running from the 1935 Ulster through to the 1962 Project 212. Lotus, in its own 70th anniversary year, features too, with classic F1 cars like the Lotus 16 and 19. Among these is the ex-Jim Clark Lotus-Climax 25, which has won five of the last seven Glover Trophy races, for 1.5-litre F1 cars from 1961 to 1965.

The oldest car in the field is the 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C – one of two Alfas taking part – which just predates the ERA B-Type R5B “Remus”. Remus was the first car ever to win a Revival race, taking victory in the Woodcote Cup back in 1998.

No historic race car field would be complete without a Ferrari 250 GTO and a Ford GT40, and there’s one example of each in the parade. There’s quite a difference in scales too, from the tiny Morris Mini Cooper S up to a pair of giant Ford Galaxie 500s, showing the breadth of competitions at Revival over the last 20 years.
