Gallery: Revival's single-seater hits

11th September 2018

For some, a true racing car has to be a single-seater, and the Goodwood Revival has plenty of grids to keep those fans happy.

This gallery celebrates all the single-seater grids and formulae that raced during the Revival weekend. There was the Goodwood Trophy for pre- and post-war grand prix and voiturette cars. There was also the Chichester Cup, a Revival regular that's open to different Formula Junior cars. This year it was the turn of rear-engined cars equipped with disc brakes.

The Glover Trophy is open to the fastest F1 cars to race at Goodwood in period, the screaming 1.5-litre cars from the early to mid 1960s. And there was also the Richmond and Gordon Trophies, a single race that relives the period when grand prix racing cars made the transition from front to mid-engned cars (a change that took just four years after Cooper pioneered the layout).

What's your favourite single-seater era?
