It’s middle day at the Revival, and there’s been a tangible buzz, both on and off track.
Out on the circuit, the racing proper began – following Friday’s Kinrara Trophy opener. After the 60th anniversary Mini parade, the Fordwater Trophy for 1960s GT cars got the racing underway. This was followed by the cutest race event in the world, the Settrington Cup, featuring young drivers in scale model pedal cars, ahead of the rest of the bikes and cars.
The track would also play host to further special events during the day. First came a celebration of Sir Stirling Moss, featuring some of his most famous cars from his racing career and a speech from the Duke of Richmond.
A D-Day commemoration followed, with a parade of military vehicles, and a rather large gun… There’d be another chance to see the Cooper formula car convoy later in the day.
Saturday also plays host to the Bonham’s Revival Sale. There’s plenty of rare and unusual vehicles on offer in the auction house should you fancy returning to the Revival as a driver or owner in the future.
And as with every day at the Revival, there’ll be the Best Dressed competition presented by Mastercard celebrating the finest outfits from those visitors who get into the Revival theme.
And the good news? It’s only day two – we’ve got more action tomorrow!
