AC Cobras, Ferrari 250 SWBs, Jaguar E-Types... with a roll-call like that, there’s an argument that the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy is the most beautiful race anywhere in the world. Add to that the period-perfect backdrop of the Goodwood Motor Circuit and surely it’s a shoe-in for the title.
But there’s more to the race than the way it looks. The hour-long fixture is a battle from the moment the flag drops to the very finish, with skirmishes for position all the way down the field. Each car has two drivers, a professional and an amateur, and the will to win is strong.
In short, the cars a driven to win with no punches pulled in deference to their age – just the way we like to see them! It’s the final race of Saturday, and our gallery captures all the action of our Saturday closer.
