At the 2022 Goodwood Revival the St. Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul delivered the usual thrilling little vs large battle for ‘60s saloons, with a grid ranging from tiny Minis to monster Ford Galaxies.
Though the Alfa Giulia of Frank Stipler at the front of the pack got a better start, it wasn’t long before the mighty Galaxie of Romain Dumas was on his case chasing him down for the lead. With its titanic power of that big block V8, Dumas in the Galaxie lumbered its way to the front, gaining a four-second lead after seven laps. Meanwhile a mega Mini battle raged in the middle of the pack between Andre Lotterer and Alex Brundle, with nose-to-tail, side-by-side action stealing the limelight from the leaders.
