One of the best battles at Goodwood came not from the big V8 prototype bruisers or the bustling GTs, but the humble Minis. Up front, it was anyone’s guess who was going take the win in the John Whitmore Trophy presented by Sure.
It was Swift, Sollis vs. Sollis with Middlehurst in tow as the Minis were pushed to the absolute limits, valves popping out of the bonnet. There’s very little braking in a Mini at Goodwood – momentum is your friend. Get the rear end pushing the car round with the weight transfer dictating direction. It’s some of the most spectacular racing you’ll see here at Goodwood, in one of the Revival’s most humble entrants.
