One of the great pre-‘63 GT rivalries at Goodwood is Rob Huff and James Cottingham, in two flavours of Jaguar E-type. Huff is of course in the famous CUT7 fixed-head, while Cottingham runs a splendid striped white Roadster.
In this Revival-worthy battle, Huff has the CUT7 up on its toes as he hunts down Cottingham into the dusk, lights and tyres ablaze. As the laps disappeared beneath them Huff chipped and chipped away at the split time, until the five-minute mark when he can practically taste first place. Just half a second divided the two as they moved up to lead the race in the closing minutes of this hour-long race. Brakes glowing, tyres screaming for mercy, it comes down to the last lap. Can Huff battle his way past Cottingham to victory?
