Racing cars getting sideways, there just isn't anything better in the entire world is there? Luckily for us we gather together a whole fleet of them every year to compete in the RAC TT Celebration race at the Revival, so we're never short of action to relive through the fallow winter months.
Here then is a bird's eye view of a spectacularly sideways Cobra being flung round Goodwood at full speed as Michael Squire attempts to keep ahead of our camera car, which is being piloted by Sam Hancock in the RAC TT Celebration. The E-Type, clearly more able to hold its line than the heavy Cobra in front, reels in the Cobra and battle is joined.
The action begins (if you discount a great view of Bill Shepherd's spectaculr getaway in his green Cobra) at around the 13-minute mark, as Hancock comes within range of the Cobra, and lasts for the next five minutes. It's an awesome tussle, but can he make the pass stick before the safety car comes out?
