You don’t need us to tell you that women are woefully underrepresented in all echelons of motorsport. From the kart track to the F1 garage, the proportion of women to men is embarrassing. However, there is a light on the horizon, in the form of the Women In Motorsport Commission and the Girls on Track initiative, both founded by successful female racers.
In fact, both of those women, WRC legend Michèle Mouton and Formula E Team Principal Susie Wolff feature in this video, which celebrates the success of five pioneering motorsport drivers and team managers. The pioneering duo are joined by IndyCar winner Danica Patrick, former Williams F1 Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams and W-Series Champion and Extreme E driver Jamie Chadwick, as they discuss the trials and tribulations of making their way in a male-dominated sport.
