The Members Meeting must be a favourite motorsport evernt for any photographer, and as one of Goodwood's Photographers the pressure is on to capture the motorsport on and off the track along with the atmosphere and things happening all around the venue.
This time of year is perfect for just a hint of spring, with the odd beam of sunshine and tons of Daffodils to add some extra depth and colour to the images.
This year I took myself off to a few new locations around the track to find the views the members would be getting from the grandstands and places they had access to around the track – and a few spots they don't! I was quite pleased with track photography this year, choosing to shoot with a slow shutter speed to track the cars and blur the backgrounds.
I took this principle a step further in the assembly area and paddocks using a rock steady tripod to get long exposures, which allowed me to show the static grandeur of the cars (and a few moving ones) with all the activity of the drivers, mechanics and guests moving around them, I think the results capture the dynamism of this event.
It's tough choosing just a few to show you, I hope you enjoy re-living the moments captured here.
