As the 77th Members’ Meeting drew to a close, the time came to distribute awards and say thank you to the drivers, mechanics, marshals, staff and spectators for another spectacular event
The location for this year’s Prize Giving was the Great Hall, and there to pass on the prizes were the Duke of Richmond, the Members’ Meeting Governors and IWC Brand Director Simon Chambers.
One of the big awards from the weekend was the Members’ Meeting House Shield. Drivers and GRRC and Fellowship members are awarded points across the weekend, the Club and Fellowship members for completing a range of activities, including everything from axe-throwing to duck herding, ferret racing and tug of war, and the drivers for all of those activities as well as racing.
Aubigny house, led by two-time Le Mans 24 podium finished Nic Minassian, came out on top with a score of 16,381 points. The other house captains, racers Jochen Mass, Emanuele Pirro and Anthony Reid, were not at all disappointed…
Prizes were also awarded to the various race winners and podium finishers (each were given a medal and a special commemorative bottle of Goodwood ale with a silver cap), and the Governors selected their favourite cars from the various demonstrations.
