When you consider that there's just one class in the Gerry Marshall Trophy – Group 1 saloon cars of a type that raced between 1970 and 1982 – there's a huge spread of different approaches to the same problem. The grid contains everything from front-wheel-drive hatchbacks to big V8 powered bruisers.
One marque is represented across the entire spectrum. Whether it's the flyweight Fiesta in its vibrant Datapost livery, a tail-happy Escort RS2000 or two battling Boss Mustangs, there's a Ford for all categories. It's that everyman quality of blue collar machines performing at the sharp end of the grid that has endeared the marque to generations of car fans.
