April seems to have come early to the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Today's 78MM test day saw the kind of weather changes that are normally confined only to the fourth month of the year.
But that didn't deter the competitors from getting some lappery in. And it was quite the lovely array of machinery. We had a trio of big American brutes – a sliding Ford Mustang Fastback, a mighty Boss Mustang and a Camaro. Alongside those we were blessed with a very sideways Ford Capri, a beautiful and sonorous Porsche 904 and even some single seater and pre-war machinery.
The day started and ended with beautiful sunshine, but was split with some quite extraordinary hail. Thankfully historic racers don't care about such things, and everyone just got on with it as usual. 78MM is getting close.
