Gallery: Take a peek around the Bonhams #76MM auction

17th March 2018
Adam Wilkins

Perhaps the most exciting car in the Bonhams auction marquee this weekend is one that you can't actually bid on... well, not until the sale at the Festival of Speed in July. '2 VEV', the ex-Le Mans Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato is the most valuable British car ever offered at auction, and it takes pride of place this weekend ahead of its sale later in the year.

As ever, there is tremendous variety in the auction. Cars that caught our eye for this gallery include everything from a the tiny fibreglass bodied Turner MkII racer to the huge Lincoln Continental Presidential Limousine. One would look the part tackling St Mary's with a smidge of opposite lock, the other is similar to the car used by JFK. Elsewhere, an AC Ace, Fiat Dino Spyder and Lamborghini 400GT offer plenty of classic sports and GT choice, while a BMW Z3 M Coupé and Bentley Continental GT3-R offer more modern thrills.

Which would get you raising your hand to bid?
