This weekend sees Goodwood’s first ever online-only event take place, as we fill in the gap left by the postponed 78th Goodwood Members’ Meeting with our awesome two-day Members’ Meeting Favourite Moments stream!
And with that in mind we should let you know what’s happening when! Each stream kicks off at 10am (GMT on Saturday and BST on Sunday – don’t forget to change those clocks!) and it set to go on until 6pm. There will be a full live blog running here on GRR, and the stream will be available on YouTube and Facebook for all to enjoy. When it’s all played out the streams will go into the GRRC Archive for members of the GRRC Community to watch in full.
Saturday kicks off with a very special lap of Goodwood, the world launch of the Senna GTR, with a very special driver at the wheel. Then we get right into the racing action with the classic GT battle that is the Graham Hill Trophy.
Day one features eight awesome races, full of sportscars, touring cars and the bonkers leviathans of the S.F. Edge Trophy (you can read the entry list here). These races are split by three of the best demonstrations Goodwood has ever seen – from a mind-blowing collection of McLaren F1 GTRs, a massive collection of high-airbox F1 cars and some incredible LMP1 machines flying into the night.
Sunday is, if anything, even more packed with action. We kick off with McLaren’s latest incredible machine and ‘The American’ Mike Skinner putting on a show in his NASCAR Truck. We launch into a second day’s racing some proper small sportscar racing with the Les Leston Trophy (a literally fiery encounter) and then there’s eight more races to enjoy – including the mighty Bruce McLaren Trophy for Can-Am monsters, and the bonkers Gerry Marshall Sprint.
Sunday’s Demos fill the day with even more motorsport majesty of all kinds – sportscars are represented in the Group 5 demo, with Porsche 917s, Ferrari 512s and more, and the awesome GT1 cars. Then Formula 1 action comes in the form of an incredible demonstration for ground effect cars – featuring the likes of the Lotus 88, Ferrari 312 and McLaren MP4.
It will be an incredible weekend – and you’ll be able to watch it all right here on GRR. And remember that 78MM is still set to go ahead later in the year, so keep an eye out for news on a new date!
