Small and svelte – this was sportscar racing before the rise aerodynamics, a period of time that saw cars like the Maserati 300S, Jaguar D-Type, Ferrari 500 TRC and more dance their way around the world’s finest tracks. Twenty-four of these unbearably pretty machines flew around the Goodwood Motor Circuit for the Peter Collins Trophy at the 79th Members’ Meeting presented Audrain Motorsport.
As well as the aforementioned Maserati, Jaguar and Ferrari we had an Alfa Romeo 3000 Disco Volante, three C-Types, an Allard J2X, an Austin Healey 100S, a Cooper-Jaguar T33 and the mighty V8 Ford Thunderbird ‘Battlebird’ to name just a few more. This short highlights video is well worth a minute of your time.
