The Sears Trophy at Goodwood's 72nd Members' Meeting was a homage to one of the greatest touring car racers in British History. Cars were drawn from the heyday of Jack Sears's racing career, meaning a variety from the late 1950s into the early 1960s. The grid included incredible varieties from Minis to Mercedes, Cortinas to Jaguar MkIIs. But it was the age-old Mini v Cortina battle that came to the fore, and a certain Goodwood regular who would go on to be victorious.
